What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where the critical factor (analytical mind) is relaxed and selective thinking (focused concentration) is maintained. The relaxed critical factor facilitates communication between the conscious and subconscious mind. Achieving the hypnotic state is a skill and therefore requires practice.

 

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is an education and self improvement process that facilitates access to a person’s internal resources to assist with solving problems, increasing motivation, or altering behavior patterns to create positive change. It is the application of universally accepted self discovery techniques and self improvement methods utilized during the hypnotic state that help to free you from fear based programming and assumed limitations.

What is Integral hypnotherapy?

It is a collaborative, client centered approach created by my teachers, Tim and Angela Simmerman Sierra, at Hypnotherapy Academy of America. It combines classical hypnotherapy with modern methods and protocols. It integrates perennial wisdom traditions; philosophical counseling and human potential training- which includes life skills coaching and applied mind sciences.

This approach has been scientifically validated by the National Institutes of Health funded research. Therefore, integral hypnotherapy is an evidence based approach.
